MRI Results Negative For Cowboys' Ware And Barber

POSTED: 3:11 pm EST November 28, 2008

(Sports Network) - Dallas Cowboys linebacker DeMarcus Ware and running back Marion Barber each underwent MRI exams for injuries suffered during Thursday's game against Seattle and the results for both were negative.

Ware left the contest with a hyperextended left knee and tests Friday revealed no ligament damage. He was hurt in the third quarter of the 34-9 win, as his leg twisted while rushing the quarterback.

Barber sustained a dislocated right pinkie toe late in the first half and tried to play in the second half, only to carry one time before leaving the game for good. Test results Friday revealed no fracture.

Both players will receive treatment throughout the weekend and both will be evaluated on a daily basis next week as the Cowboys prepare for their December 7 contest at Pittsburgh.

Ware had three sacks before leaving Thursday's game and leads the NFL with 15 for the season.

Barber is Dallas' leading rusher with 870 yards and seven touchdowns. He ran for just 32 yards on 10 carries with a two-yard touchdown in the first quarter of Thursday's contest.
