BOSTON -- A water main break has left a number of Saugus buildings without water on Tuesday.

The break happened on Main Street and affected a dozen buildings near the VFW and K-Mart, according to Saugus police.

Emergency crews are at the scene, and police said it could take a few hours to fix.

Officials said that cold weather may have caused the break.
