Gas Leak Prompts Neighborhood Evacuation

BOSTON -- A gas line break in Winthrop, Mass., Monday morning prompted fire officials to evacuate a neighborhood there.The gas line break happened at 119 Wheelock St., fire officials said. The line was capped at about 11:30 a.m.The Winthrop Middle School on nearby Pauline Street was not evacuated.No injuries were reported.
