FALMOUTH, Mass. -- A Falmouth man has died despite the efforts of a police officer and two other men to save him after a crash, when they lifted his car off him early Friday morning.Jordan Kelly, 21, of Falmouth, was pinned under his BMW when his car rolled over on Thomas Landers Road and he was partially ejected, Falmouth Sgt. Arthur Gonsalves said. When Falmouth Police Sgt. Michael Rogers arrived at the crash, he found that Kelly was trapped and the weight of the car prevented him from breathing.
Rogers and two men who lived nearby were able to lift the BMW enough to relieve the pressure on Kelly’s chest, allowing him to breath, Gonsalves said. When additional officers arrived, they were able to lift the car enough to get Kelly out from under the BMW.Kelly was flown by medical helicopter to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston where he died Friday afternoon.Police said speed was a factor in the crash.
