Reds Re-Sign P Lincoln

POSTED: 5:28 pm EST December 4, 2008

(Sports Network) - The Cincinnati Reds re-signed reliever Mike Lincoln to a two-year contract on Thursday.

Lincoln returned to the majors last season after missing the 2005-07 seasons because of several elbow surgeries. In making a career-high 64 appearances with the Reds, he went 2-5 with a 4.48 earned run average, with 57 strikeouts and 24 walks in 70 1/3 innings.

In 225 career games -- 19 starts -- over seven seasons with Minnesota, Pittsburgh, St. Louis and the Reds, the right-hander owns a 15-29 record and a 5.02 ERA.
