Local Residents Raise Money For Quake Victims

BOSTON -- Two days after a powerful earthquake shook Western China, local residents anxious about friends and family overseas are gathering donations to aid the rescue mission.NewsCenter 5's Shiba Russell reported that a bank in Boston's China Town set up a fund to help the victims of the quake.
VIDEO: Donations Collected For Quake Victims"We ask people to either write a check or a wire transfer or even pay cash into the bank. The victims are our main concern. They need help -- no matter if they are Asian or any other nationality. It is important that we have to respond to their needs," said Johnny Ip, of Cathay Bank.Donations can be made at:
