"We ask people to either write a check or a wire transfer or even pay cash into the bank. The victims are our main concern. They need help -- no matter if they are Asian or any other nationality. It is important that we have to respond to their needs," said Johnny Ip, of Cathay Bank.

Donations can be made at:

Cathay Bank
Taiwan Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation
621 Washington Street
Boston, MA 02111
